When does the Bregenz Festival take place?

This year, the Bregenz Festival takes place from 22 July to 23 August. As well as the performances on the lake stage, visitors can look forward to a varied programme at the Festspielhaus and other venues.

How much time should I allow before the performance?

Allow at least one to two hours before the performance begins. This will give you plenty of time for a stroll along the lakeside promenade, an aperitif or dinner at one of the restaurants in Bregenz.

In the immediate vicinity are the harbour promenade, the Kunsthaus Bregenz (KUB), the vorarlberg museum and the historic Upper Town. The Pfänderbahn is also just a few minutes’ walk away.
