A tour through Feldkirchs neighboring towns

This tour leads through Feldkirch’s neighboring communities Rankweil, Göfis, and Frastanz. After the effort of a short ascent from Rankweil to the higher-lying Göfis, the ride through the “Frastanzer Ried” nature reserve once again offers relaxing recovery. At the end of the tour, Feldkirch’s old town with its charming garden restaurants invites you to stop and enjoy.

After passing the cycle path underpass, always follow the road sequence Fidelisstraße – Mutterstraße – Rebberggasse.
Turn right into Tränkleweg (CAUTION: limited visibility), after 100 m cross the main road and then turn left into Reichsstraße.
Turn right into Tafernstraße, cross the railway tracks, and continue along Tafernstraße.
At the Altenstadt football field, continue straight ahead.
From here you are in Rankweil: turn right (signposted dead end) and after 50 m, before the bridge, turn right onto the foot- and cycle path along the stream and follow it.
At the inn Sternen-Bräu, turn right and follow the cycle path.
End of cycle path: turn right onto the gravel path.
The gravel path leads onto an asphalt road: CAUTION: turn left, after 50 m turn right again into Römerstraße and continue to follow it.
After the descent, cross the Ill river and immediately after the bridge turn right onto the cycle path along the Ill.
Pass through the premises of the Kopf nursery.
Cross the Samina river (wooden bridge): turn right and follow the red-white cycle path signs.
Continue to the right, always following the signs.
Cross the main road and continue along the narrow asphalt road through the “Frastanzer Ried.”
At the junction, continue to the right, after 50 m turn left onto the cycle path towards Feldkirch and follow it back to the starting point.
