Are you currently in Vorarlberg on the Bodensee, or are you planning a visit to our region and have questions about which (water) activities are available? We’ve looked into it for you.
The port of Bregenz is fully accessible. In Langenargen, on the German side of the lake, scheduled ferry services (scheduled sailings) can no longer call at the port. For sightseeing boats (round trip tours), the Lochau landing stage is no longer available. For electric wheelchair users, there may be restrictions at other landing stages. You can find the latest updates on the Vorarlberg Lines website.
The low water level is not currently affecting swimming. Swimming is still possible without any problems at most bathing spots. However, depending on the shoreline, the walk out to deeper water may be slightly longer.
- Stand-up paddleboarding and boating
Stand-up paddleboarding and boating are still possible at present, although there are some restrictions on boat hire due to the low water levels. At certain locations, access points, boat facilities or harbours may only be available to a limited extent. In Bregenz, only pedal boats are currently available for rent. We therefore recommend that you check the current situation and availability directly with the relevant boat hire company in advance.
