This easy cycling circuit starts at Bregenz lakeside promenade and follows Lake Constance via Hard and Fußach into the Rhine Delta. Waterways, riparian woodland and open reed landscapes characterise the route between the Rhine, the Old Rhine and the lakeshore. The swimming spots at Bruggerloch and Rohrspitz, as well as the Rhine Delta House in Fußach, make worthwhile stops.
From Bregenz lakeside promenade, the circuit first follows flat, mostly surfaced cycle paths along Lake Constance to Hard and on to Fußach. At the Rhine, the route joins the embankment path and heads towards Lustenau.
At the Rhine bridge between Höchst and Lustenau, the route turns right onto the signposted cycle path. It passes the natural swimming spot at Bruggerloch, follows the Old Rhine to the customs office in Höchst and continues to Gaißau. This section combines quiet waterside scenery with open fields and views of the former river course.
In Gaißau, the route turns towards the Rhine Delta. It passes through the nature reserve towards Rohrspitz and continues to Seerestaurant Salzmann. Covering around 2,000 hectares, this wetland on Lake Constance is an important habitat for many animal and plant species. The circuit returns to Bregenz lakeside promenade via Fußach, Hard and the lakeshore.
The start and finish of the tour is Bregenz lakeside promenade, 6900 Bregenz.
