The Kapf Adventure Trail leads from the Kapfstraße car park up to Wildpark Feldkirch via natural steps and woodland paths. Along the way, the Veitskapf viewpoint offers views across Gisingen, followed by a peaceful stretch through the woods along the ridge. At the destination, visitors can see native wildlife and enjoy a playground and picnic areas. This route is ideal for anyone looking for a short and varied walk up to the wildlife park.
The route begins at the Kapfstraße car park, opposite the bp petrol station in Feldkirch-Gisingen. Natural steps lead steeply uphill right from the start, giving the trail its adventurous character. You quickly gain height within the first few metres.
At Veitskapf, the view opens out across Gisingen. The route then continues through the woods, following pleasant woodland paths along the ridge towards Wildpark Feldkirch. This section offers plenty of shade and feels surprisingly peaceful despite its proximity to the town.
Shortly before the end of the route, you reach Wildpark Feldkirch. From here, the walk leads directly into the wildlife park. Visitors with time to spare can discover the native wildlife, take a break by the playground or make use of the picnic areas.
We recommend starting from the Kapfstraße car park in Feldkirch-Gisingen, opposite the bp petrol station.

Sustainable travel
Walking to the wildlife park is a good alternative to driving to the upper car park on Ardetzenweg. This helps reduce local traffic and leaves the limited parking spaces available for visitors who depend on shorter and more accessible routes.
Suitability
The route is suitable for adventurous walkers, active older visitors and families with children aged around eight and above. It is not accessible and, because of the natural steps, is unsuitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs.
Best time of year
The route can generally be walked throughout the year. Particular care is required in winter conditions and when the ground is wet.
