Exciting path with sometimes steep ascents.
Most routes of arrival from Germany converge in Ulm and continue on the A7. At the Allgäu motorway interchange take the A980 segment to the Waltenhofen junction and continue on the four-lane B19 via Sonthofen and Oberstdorf into the Kleinwalsertal. From Austria (Vorarlberg) and Switzerland, you can reach the Kleinwalsertal via the Bregenzerwald (Hittisau) – Riedberg Pass – Fischen – Oberstdorf. Coming from Tyrol, the fastest way is via the A7 to Kempten and further on the B19 towards Oberstdorf. You do not need a motorway vignette to drive into the valley.
Just leave your car standing!
It is possible to use the Walserbus for the journey. Bus line 1 serves the town of Hirschegg. For this route, get off at the "Walserhaus" stop.
Paid parking spaces are located near the starting point. Parking along the state road is not permitted.
50% asphalt, 50% gravel path
