900 to 1200 m, 750 inhabitants. Laterns and the towns Laterns-Thal, Bonacker and Innerlaterns lie in close proximity to Feldkirch in a side valley of the Rhine Valley, behind the “Üblen Schlucht” (“Bad Ravine”). The valley is connected to the Bregenzerwald by the Furkajoch (1,760 m). Attractions include the many walking trails, the summer tobogganing run and the botanic alpine garden. The skiing area Laterns-Gapfohl with its 6 lifts is considered an insider’s tip.
