436 m, 48.000 inhabitants.

Lowlands and mountains surround Dornbirn, the largest city in the region with a population of 45.000 inhabitants. Dornbirn is an important business location, trade fair site and popular shopping center.  The neo-classicist parish churches and houses spanning three centuries surround the central market square.

The interactive nature museum ‘inatura’ provides insight into the native fauna and flora. A cable car takes you up to the top of the lookout mountain Karren.  A breathtaking hiking tour leads you through the ruggedly romantic “Rappenloch- resp. Alploch Gorge”, one of the most impressive canyons of the eastern Alps. The Rolls-Royce Museum in the district of Gütle is also well worth a visit. Franz Vonier, a private collector, has put approximately 40 noble Rolls-Royce on display in the former textile factory.
