This dance festival has attracted an international audience since the 1990s. For a good reason: this is the place to experience the stars of the international dance scene, and legendary premières and unforgettable performances have maintained a reliably high standard. Frequent standing ovations express the audience’s enthusiasm. The hall of the Festival Theatre is alive with dance between March and May 2014.
Tip: Bodensee-Vorarlberg Tourismus is offering a package for the Bregenzer Frühling Dance Festival “A Weekend for the Senses” every year. Included is a ticket for a dance performance as well as an exclusive shopping experience at the bodywear-producers Wolford.
In the summer months, the actors and visitors to the festival transform the town into a multicultural meeting point. The opera “The Magic Flute” is being performed for the second time this summer. The lake stage is one thing, but the accompanying programme such as the annual opera rarity, first-class orchestral concerts, modern theatre productions and the “Kunst aus der Zeit” programme are a great reason to extend your stay in Bregenz. The festival is held between 23 July and 24 August 2014.
Tip: Bodensee-Vorarlberg Tourismus offers attractive Bregenz Festival packages, which you can book here.
A real gem amongst the festivals. Experience hand-picked musicians and wellknown stand-up comedians in the “Bregenzer Freudenhaus” which is located right next to the lake.
Between 18 April and 31 May 2014
Song recitals and chamber music have a committed, discerning audience. It says a lot for the Schubertiade that this global audience has been making a pilgrimage to Vorarlberg since 1976, and even the stars of classical music have long been showing their loyalty to the unique festival. It has its fixed venues in Hohenems and Schwarzenberg.
The festival for young people – for a full six weeks, the poolbar-Festival in Feldkirch applies itself to a high-quality, original programme. Music, architecture, graphic arts, art, dance and film are there for the taking between 4 July and 17 August 2014.
